Our staff team is dedicated to the mission of challenging individuals to know and mature in Christ. It is a joy to serve alongside people who have been called to Camp Otyokwah to make a lasting difference in the lives of every camper and guest.
Monty and Janette Harlan - Executive Director
Monty has been Director at Camp Otyokwah since 2019 and the Director of our sister camp, Bear Lake Camp since 1992. During his tenure of leadership of directing, Monty has seen God strengthening the impact of this ministry by expanding our summer camping program to 6 weeks, implementing the Summer Staff and Service Crew program, cabin renovations and other construction and renovations to the facilities, and the birth of a vibrant community ministry. He can’t wait to see what God is going to do next and see more lives impacted for the Kingdom through the ministry at Otyokwah.
Monty, an ordained minister, holds a B.A. from Taylor University and an M.Div. from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Monty has been married to his wife Janette for over 30 years. Janette is very active in the camping, retreat, and community ministries at Otyokwah. Together they have have four children and are all married: Ben and his wife Karli, Abbey and her husband Jake, Rebekah and her husband Connor, and Caleb and his wife Rachel.

Connor Miller - Director of Operations
Rebekah Miller - Office administrator
Connor and Rebekah came on full-time at Otyokwah in 2021. After meeting at Bethel University, they got married in 2017. Both Connor and Rebekah are familiar and very knowledgeable about camp after growing up there. Before coming to camp, Connor started his own business and Rebekah was an elementary school teacher. Connor's leadership and craftsmanship makes him responsible for all the facilities and grounds at Otyokwah. Rebekah is also apart of the leadership team and facilitates management due to her focus and attention to detail. Connor graduated with a B.A. in Business and Rebekah graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Bethel University in 2015. They have two girls, Eden and Esther.
Jennifer Sherbahn - Program Director
Jennifer came to Otyokwah in the summer of 2024. She joins our team after spending several years at our sister camp, Bear Lake Camp. With her role in programming, she coordinates a large portion of the summer program in conjunction with our resident staff. She loves all things outdoors, especially hiking and backpacking. Jennifer graduated from Anderson University with a B.A. in Youth Ministry, Education, and Non Profit Leadership in 2014.
